Department of Malayalam
The department of Malayalam is established in 1993 and belongs to the Faculty of Indian Languages. The Department has a gifted faculty team, systematic course work, a syllabus with modern and contemporary interdisciplinary knowledge. The department has more specializations so that the students take the University department as a centre of excellence in higher education. The department leads to publishing books and research papers on knowledge like Cultural studies, Media Studies, Post Colonial Studies and Historiography.
Delivering Lectures about these subjects and research methodology by the faculty members in colleges and Universities. Future plans include making the Department as a centre of excellence of Malayalam/Kerala Studies with special emphasis on emerging areas of academic studies.
About Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit
The University was established two decades ago in the name of the illustrious Indian philosopher Jagad Guru Adi Sankara in his place of birth at Kalady. The basic objective of the University is to impart knowledge in various branches of Sanskrit, Indology, Indian culture, Indian and Foreign languages, Indian philosophy, Fine Arts and Social Sciences and to promote the study and research in Sanskrit and other systems of Indian knowledge.
